Overview
CheatCode Launcher is designed to keep as much of your data on your device as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access, what stays on your device, what information may be processed by third-party services, and how to contact us with questions.
By using CheatCode Launcher, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information stored on your device
CheatCode Launcher stores most of its data locally on your device. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- gesture codes, app assignments, collections, and launcher actions
- theme settings, label configuration, context-aware themes, and other appearance preferences
- search preferences and local usage data used to improve launcher behavior
- imported gesture box backgrounds, home screen backgrounds, and other customization assets you choose to use
- launcher preferences related to optional features and third-party integrations
- Tasker-related gesture assignments and other app integration settings
This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you choose to share it directly, such as in a support request.
Information you may choose to share with us
If you contact support, email us, or join any community spaces we operate, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as:
- your email address
- the contents of your message
- screenshots, logs, or attachments you send voluntarily
- any other information you choose to include in your message
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, and improve the app.
Purchases and RevenueCat
CheatCode Launcher may offer paid features or a Pro unlock through Google Play billing. To manage purchases and entitlements, the app uses RevenueCat.
RevenueCat may process information related to your purchase status, such as:
- app user identifiers used to determine entitlements
- purchase or subscription status
- product identifiers
- transaction and receipt information provided through Google Play
- device and app metadata needed to validate and manage purchases
We use this information to unlock paid features, restore purchases, and manage access to Pro functionality.
RevenueCat processes this information in accordance with its own privacy practices:
Google Play billing and account-related purchase information are also governed by Google’s policies:
Permissions and device access
CheatCode Launcher may request access to certain Android features or permissions depending on which functionality you use. These permissions are used only to provide launcher features and are not sold to third parties.
Installed apps and launcher data
CheatCode Launcher accesses installed app information in order to display your app drawer, support search, assign gesture codes, show shortcuts, create collections, and launch apps and actions.
Usage access
If you grant usage access, CheatCode Launcher may use app usage information for launcher features such as:
- screen time labels
- usage-based search ranking
- usage-based sorting or prioritization
- other launcher behavior that depends on app usage patterns
Usage access data is used only to provide launcher functionality and is stored locally on your device unless you choose to share related information with us directly.
Notification access
If you grant notification access, CheatCode Launcher may use active notification information for optional features such as:
- notification-based labels and previews
- notification counts
- opening the latest notification for an app
- media-related features based on active media notifications or media sessions
This may include notification content such as titles, sender names, conversation names, or message previews, depending on what the source app provides and which launcher features you enable.
CheatCode Launcher does not store notification contents as part of your launcher data. Notification information is accessed only as needed to provide enabled launcher features on your device. We do not sell notification-derived data.
Media information
If notification access or Android media session access is used for media-related launcher features, CheatCode Launcher may read currently playing media information such as:
- track or episode title
- artist or creator name
- playback state
- the app currently playing media
This information may be used for labels, gesture actions, or other launcher features.
CheatCode Launcher does not store media titles, artist names, or playback information as part of your launcher data. Media information is accessed only as needed to provide enabled launcher features on your device.
Files, images, and imported assets
If you choose to import backgrounds, images, or other customization assets, CheatCode Launcher may access files you select for that purpose. These files are used only to provide launcher customization features.
Internet access
CheatCode Launcher may use internet access for optional features such as:
- purchase verification and entitlement management
- opening support or community links
- other app functionality that depends on online services
Tasker and third-party app integrations
CheatCode Launcher may allow you to trigger actions in third-party apps such as Tasker. If you choose to use those integrations, CheatCode Launcher may pass the relevant action request to the third-party app you selected.
CheatCode Launcher does not control how those third-party apps handle data once the request is handed off to them. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Third-party services
CheatCode Launcher may rely on third-party services to provide certain functionality. Depending on the features you use, these services may process information under their own privacy policies.

At the time of this policy, CheatCode Launcher does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
If analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services are added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Data retention
Data stored locally by CheatCode Launcher remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
Information you send to us directly, such as support emails, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, or maintain support records.
Purchase and entitlement data handled by Google Play or RevenueCat may be retained according to their own retention practices.
Your choices
You can control much of the information used by CheatCode Launcher by:
- choosing whether to grant optional Android permissions such as usage access or notification access
- removing imported assets or clearing launcher data from your device
- uninstalling the app
- contacting us if you want support-related communications deleted, where feasible
Please note that disabling certain permissions may prevent some optional launcher features from working.

CheatCode Launcher is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
